Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust carried out a procurement process to

secure the provision of Intermediate Care beds in Northumberland and North Tyneside.

This procurement covered Intermediate Care beds across two lots as follows: -

• Lot One – provision of 17 Intermediate Care beds in Northumberland

• Lot Two – provision of 20 Intermediate Care beds in North Tyneside

This was a Light Touch Regime procurement following an open procedure.

The shorter form NHS Standard Contract applies.

The Contract is for a period of 2 years with the option to extend for a further period of 12

months.

Lot One covers the provision of 17 Intermediate Care beds in Northumberland.

Lot Two covers the provision of 20 Intermediate Care beds in North Tyneside.
