Computer tomograph (not medical)

The University of Koblenz-Landau intends to purchase an industrial computed tomography (CT) system based on a joint project between the University of Koblenz, the University of Koblenz-Landau and the Research Institute for Glass and Ceramics (FGK for short).

The device is financed by a project funded by the Ministry of Economics, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate (MWVLW). In addition, new premises are to be created on the Koblenz campus to locate the equipment to be procured. A corresponding building application has currently been submitted. The completion of the premises is planned for July 1st, 2021, but by no means guaranteed. In this respect, an order or acceptance of the device can only take place if: the financing through the MWVLV continues and the premises are completed. An order is therefore subject to the financing and the completion of the premises. Delivery will take place on agreement, but no earlier than July 1st, 2021.

The bidders are bound by their offer until December 31, 2021.

The client (hereinafter referred to as “AG”) plans to purchase a new industrial computed tomography (CT) system based on a joint project. The system is to be procured primarily for the examination of ceramic materials and components and has the functionalities of 3D computed tomography and digital radioscopy. With the help of the system, ceramic components that were manufactured using 3D printing are to be characterized with regard to their structure-property correlation. Here, their product quality should be considered against the background of the requirements of the market.
