The subject of this procurement procedure is the provision of document inspection devices as described in Annex II ‘Terms of Reference’. The procedure is divided in four (4) lots and FRONTEX will conclude single framework contract (FWC) per lot with the selected candidate based on the draft contract included in Annex III to the invitation to tender.

Compact magnifiers with different light sources will be used to verify the authenticity of all types of ID documents. Detailed minimum technical requirements for these compact magnifiers are described in Annex II to invitation to tender.

The UV lights will be used for multiple purpose including detection of forged documents. Detailed minimum technical requirements for these portable UV lights are described in Annex II to Invitation to tender.

This equipment will be used to perform thorough checks and additional verifications on travel documents. Detailed minimum technical requirements for document authenticity verification equipment are described in Annex II to invitation to tender.

Two versions of hand-held USB microscopes shall be provided: USB microscopes with white light source only and USB microscopes combining white light and ultraviolet light sources. Detailed minimum technical requirements for both handheld USB microscopes are described in Annex II to invitation to tender.
