Description:

To appoint a specialist BMS contractor to able to deliver the following services for its Building Management System(s):

Design, installation service and ad-hoc maintenance of a new BMS System

The contract will have 4 year duration; with any new installations requiring a yearly servicing for 10 years from the date of installation. There is no commitment to spend under this contract, funding will be dependent on capital monies available and subject to Board approval.

Objectives include but are not limited to list below:

Design and Install system(s) that satisfy the requirements of the design brief criteria whilst being capable in all aspects of providing an environment that is pleasant and environmentally friendly.

Design and Install systems that are maintenance minimised.

Design and Install system with due consideration to energy initiatives and best practice.

The contractors designs should endeavour, so far as is reasonably practicable, to provide systems that ensure the building is environmentally friendly from the global, local external and internal aspects, which minimise the impact on the local community.

Design and Install replacement or new systems with due consideration to the whole site strategy for system replacement.

I.e. If there is an existing system, which is to be replaced in the future then its integration into the system should be considered when designing the current project. E.g. expansion of existing project to cater for next area.

Suggest options to increase plant efficiency. Submit potential cost savings for these options.

To ensure the use of best practice techniques

The provision of opportunities for ongoing efficiencies and value improvements

To encourage the concepts of flexibility & partnership with the service providers.

The provision of proactive and rapid services response.

Compliance with relevant safety standards.

To provide ad-hoc maintenance for the BMS installed at CRH.

To provide training to CRH operatives to understand, use and maintain the BMS system.
