The "Old Town Hall" in Rheinberg is to be rebuilt according to a usage concept newly developed by the City of Rheinberg. After dismantling and gutting work in various areas of the building, the building envelope will be renovated. Scaffolding of the building including the corner tower (h ~ 30 m) is required for this. The total duration of the renovation of the building envelope is estimated at 6 months. As part of the roof renovation, the listed roof structure is to be upgraded and the roof covering including the formwork layer is to be completely renewed. This is a recognizable older, carpenter-like mortised oak construction consisting of chair stands that were connected by purlins and tension bars to form a stable and stiffened basic structure.
