"For a more open and inclusive society towards people in migration, the non-profit organization Plateforme Citoyenne – BEL Refugees (hereinafter "Citizen Platform" or "PA") aims to mobilize and federate citizen and associative energies to transform the representations and attitudes of "citizens" about people in migration and (contribute to) offer a response to their needs that is fundamentally human and of quality by developing, if necessary, new solutions. It is defined as a meeting and coordination space for individual and collective initiatives concerned with migration issues.
The Citizen Platform ensures, to the extent of its means, an unconditional reception and accommodation, a response to requests for information, training and assistance from exiled, migrant, asylum seekers, newcomers and undocumented migrants, in full respect of the individual and his choices. It thus works to integrate these people into their new environment.
The Citizens' Platform encourages respect for a migration policy in accordance with international conventions, and with respect for everyone's rights. It is convinced that only a lasting and united solution, based on respect for human rights and universal fraternity, can be put in place to face the global crisis of reception that our society is going through.
