The purpose of the tender is to conclude two framework agreements for Fujitsu components (Lot 1) and Extreme Networks components (Lot 2) or equivalent components from other manufacturers. At present, it is not clear which models of the respective manufacturer will be needed for further expansion in the long term. Therefore, the framework agreements (Lot 1 and Lot 2) are intended to offer the highest possible flexibility within the manufacturer portfolios.
Server ComponentsThe Free State of Saxony is currently building a technically flexible, technically sustainable and integrated IT system based on a modern ERP tool with Fujitsu technology and a VMware VCF stack. The initial phase of the platform development was completed by the end of 2022 and an expansion of the hardware platform with specific server technology is required over several years.
The subject of the tender for Lot 1 is the conclusion of a framework agreement for the supply of Fujitsu components over a period of 4 years with the option of extension for a further 12 months.
Network ComponentsFor the procurement of the network technology to expand the platform, LAN components are required that guarantee migration to the existing infrastructure without disproportionate additional effort. The entire LAN technology is managed by the management platform "Extreme Management Center" provided by the manufacturer Extreme Networks. The systems offered must be able to be integrated into this platform.
The subject of the tender for Lot 2 is the conclusion of a framework agreement for the supply of Extreme Networks components over a period of 4 years with the option of extension for a further 12 months.
