The subject of this tender is to commission a company with the construction and operation of a next-generation broadband infrastructure (“NGA network”) in the still underserved areas of the city of Unna. The NGA network to be set up must guarantee a symmetrical supply of the addresses specified in the developed area with a bandwidth of at least 1 Gbit/s.
The market investigation procedure carried out confirmed that the establishment and operation of such an NGA network in the expanded area cannot be represented economically. For this reason, the client is prepared to provide the private telecommunications company with a one-time, non-repayable investment grant to cover its profitability gap (so-called “profitability gap model”).
