The Verden Drinking Water Association intends to build the new Langenberg waterworks. The construction of a new waterworks with two clean water tanks is planned. It is to be built on the site of the previous waterworks. In the district of Verden, the waterworks supplies the villages and municipalities of Kirchlinteln, Dörverden, Blender and Morsum. From the district of Nienburg, it supplies the communities of Eystrup, Gandesbergen, Hämelhausen and Hassel. To ensure high-quality drinking water supply in the supply area, the new building of the Langenberg waterworks is planned to be built as a two-stage plant. This means that the raw water is delivered to the clean water chambers and treated via the filter lines. From there, the water is distributed into the supply area via pure water delivery stages. The waterworks are to be expanded to a treatment volume of Q1 = 11,000 m
