The successful bidder will provide comprehensive cover, planned preventative maintenance and comprehensive maintenance to the equipment detailed in the Asset Lists (Appendix 3).
Comprehensive cover will include, but not be limited to the provision of all labour; during hours designated (Section 2 — 2.1) planned preventative maintenance visits (including out of normal working hours visits due to service limitations of department), supply and fitting of all parts and attending any callouts out of normal working hours as requested by the Trust.
Both named Trusts are seeking a provider who can deliver a Managed Service Contract for all (EBME) Medical and Surgical Devices within the Trusts. The Trusts will seek to award to the same contractor but as they are both sovereign bodies retain the right to award separately.
The Contractor will be responsible for managing all the Medical Equipment and other Trust owned equipment located within the Trusts departments according to the guidelines laid out in MHRA Managing Medical Devices April 2015, relevant Trusts Medical Equipment Management Policies and in accordance with the specification set out below.
The Estates Services manager (Milton Keynes Hospital) and Head of Estates (Bedford Hospital) will act on behalf of the Trusts as the Authorising Officers regarding this Contract.
Trust medical equipment will require service to a comprehensive level, including all parts and a planned preventative maintenance programme. All equipment may require ‘other services’ i.e. callout and repair service. Electrical testing to be included within all agreements.
