The subject of the award procedure is the provision of facade construction work south for the new construction of the Böblingen airfield hospital.

For the economic restructuring of the South-West hospital network, the Böblingen and Sindelfingen hospital sites will be merged into a new building on the airfield site in Böblingen. According to the task, it was necessary to combine the medical concerns of a large hospital with its close functional relationships with the urban planning context, based on the results of the urban planning ideas competition. In doing so, the connections to the Böblingen railway station/city centre, as well as the urban planning concept and urban development to the planning area, are to be seamlessly taken into account and integrated in the planning area. A house with about 700 beds and 15 operating rooms (including 2 reserve areas) is planned. The client is the district clinics Böblingen gGmbH.

The subject of the present call for tenders is the manufacture of the entire facade work of the southern building for the new construction of the airfield clinic.

The hospital is divided into a north building and a southern building, which are connected to a main axis as an access structure. The tender for the VE 241_01 South Facade includes the entire facade construction of the southern structure. This south building rises with 3 or 4 floors above ground. The main axis forms the boundary to the tender for the North Facade. The bidding unit for the North facade will follow in the course of 2022 and will be advertised in a separate allocation unit. The building will be constructed as a reinforced concrete structure with a perforated façade. The façade cladding is done with thermally insulated curtain walls structured horizontally in a strip.

The scope of services of the South façade includes:

- aluminum-glass elements

- curtain wall aluminum panel elements

- curtain wall glass fiber concrete elements

- Curtain wall clinker straps on backing boards

- clinker facing brickwork

- insulation and waterproofing

The specific scope of the services to be provided by the contractor results from the contract and the annexes.
