In order to replace the ITCS central system currently in use as well as the on-board computers in use, including the background system, the client needs a total of 326 new on-board computers (300 units for the vehicles with mounting plates and 26 units with pulse power supply as a replacement for the previous advance booking office devices) as well as supplementary hardware together with associated background systems as well as system maintenance services over 96 months.

Procurement is extremely sensitive in terms of time. Since the initially commissioned supplier has announced that it will not be able to perform its services on time, but that a functional system must be available by 31.12.2023, the client had to withdraw from the contract at the time and a new supplier is now being sought in an accelerated open procedure.
