The University Hospital Tübingen is planning a “Center for Mental Health” at the Talklinikum.

A station extension to the Vita building, Osianderstraße 5, is intended to create space for the psychosomatic clinic to move into the valley.

The following uses are housed in the annex:

— Entrance area with recording,

— 28 beds in single and twin rooms with en-suite bathrooms,

— station rooms per bed level,

— Investigation room,

— doctors' rooms and therapy/intervention rooms for individual and group therapy,

— lounges with tea kitchens,

— teaching kitchen for specialized treatment settling for patients with eating disorders,

— common areas to meet and linger,

— group rooms,

— spaces for creative, social, body, movement, physiotherapy, family therapy and biofeedback,

— functional and technical rooms,

— clearances and areas for garden therapy.

Building characteristics new building:

— gross floor area (GFA) 2 437 m2,

— Gross volume (BRI) 8 433 m3.

— Earthworks: construction road 900 sqm, excavation of excavation, 4 500 m3, pit filling 1 900 m3, lev. -excavation 200 m3, letg. -Filling 180 m3

— installation work: shotcrete shell and rear anchoring 360 sqm,

— Structural work: 4-storey stb-building including waterproofing and insulation; gross floor area: 2 450 sqm; BRI 8 450 m3; partly WU construction,

— Drainage work: 170 m line, 580 sqm of drainage mat, 920 sqm of fleece,

— mechanical components: 290 m basic lines, 9 stb shafts, 30 m3 retention tank,

— ELT components: 45 hint entries, 150 m conduit.
