Dublin City Council proposes to establish a single party framework agreement for 2 years, for the provision of supply and delivery of periodicals. The contracting authority reserves the right, at its discretion, to extend the term for a period or periods of up to twelve (12) months with a maximum of two (2) such extension or extensions on the same terms and conditions, subject to the contracting authority’s obligations at law. The term will not exceed four (4) years in aggregate. This agreement is for the supply of electronic and printed periodicals, journals and associated services, via subscription agents, including domestic and overseas material from any publisher or third party willing to trade via the supplier. Collectively all four Dublin library services use the sierra library services automation platform (Innovative Interfaces) for the management of periodical holdings.
This agreement is for the supply of electronic and printed periodicals, journals and associated services, via subscription agents, including domestic and overseas material from any publisher or third party willing to trade via the supplier. This includes current and back-issues of periodicals, journals and other similar publications of societies. These are charged on a prepaid, usually annual, subscription basis. The successful tenderer should supply publications in any format — paper, microform and electronic media — as requested. The successful tenderer will make every effort to ensure that matters relating to publishers and the supply of materials from them are dealt with speedily and efficiently throughout the contract period. Dublin City Council will facilitate the framework agreement on behalf of itself Dún Laoghaire — Rathdown County Council, Fingal County Council and South Dublin County Council.
