With the tender, the basic services for traffic facility planning in accordance with § 47 ff. HOAI for service phases 3 to 6 and for object planning of engineering structures for rainwater management in accordance with § 43 ff. HOAI for service phases LP 1 to 6 are awarded.

The Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe (LVB), together with the Transport and Civil Engineering Office (VTA) of the City of Leipzig, are planning the construction of a new tram line in the course of Mockauer Straße and Taucher Straße. The road traffic facility will be thoroughly expanded or rebuilt.

The complex project for the new Mockau line is being carried out for Mockauer Straße from the S-Bahn bridge and for Tauchaer Straße to Parthebrücke. The project includes the reconstruction of the junctions - Mockauer Straße / Essner Straße / Kieler Straße; - Tauchaer Straße / Komarowstraße; - Tauchaer Straße / Samuel-Lampel-Straße and - Tauchaer Straße / Stralsunder Straße / Kieler Straße.

Preliminary planning has already been submitted to the client.

The following planning services will be awarded in 2 lots:

- Lot1: Award of the overall planning of road traffic facilities by VTA Leipzig

- Lot 2Awarding of the overall planning of tram operating facilities by LVB

With this contract notice, Lot1 is put out to tender.

The gross construction costs are currently estimated at around EUR 16 million. Planning services are scheduled to begin in January 2024.
