The children's channel of ARD and ZDF operates a network for Apple technology for the editorial department Promotion and Design, consisting of laptops, workstations, as well as server and network technology. This is technically outdated and must be renewed in order to be able to meet the graphic challenges of the editorial staff in the AV sector in the future.

Scope of services is the delivery, installation/setup of an Apple network as an isolated solution and rental of the technology consisting of laptops, workstations, as well as server and network technology including maintenance / services.

The editorial staff of KiKA has been using Apple's operating system for more than 15 years. In preparation for the introduction of this isolated solution, there was no alternative to Apple's groundbreaking future security, the stability of the systems and the necessary computing power for the high demands of the editorial graphic designers.

As a result, the editorial team now uses a graphics/media data archive that has grown over 15 years and is 30 TB in size. This raw data represents a program asset that is regularly used and legacy data is further developed for new formats. The existing raw data can only be used via Apple's operating system.
