St Helens Council are inviting suitably experienced transport operators to tender for journey routes to convey clientele from home to school and various centres/ locations inside and outside the Borough using hired transport. St Helens Council are inviting suitably experienced transport operators to tender for journey routes to convey clientele from home to school and various centres/ locations inside and outside the Borough using hired transport. All Applicants who wish to apply for consideration and inclusion for this contact must hold a St Helens Council contract driver badge issued by the Licensing department.

A copy of the Licensing Guidance has been included with this tender pack. Only drivers who have a contract driver badge issued by St.Helens Council Licensing Department may be used on this contract. It is the contractor’s responsibility to ensure all drivers have undertaken the checks and have a valid photo identification driver card during the contract period.

All companies whose fleet contains vehicles over eight seats must provide their OCRS score at the time of application.

Operators will be expected to provide a monthly report, detailing the current OCRS score by the third Friday of each month.

If at any point your score changes it is the responsibility of the operator to inform the Council immediately about any infringements. The Council will perform spot checks on providers; failing to inform the council about any changes may result in the operator being removed from the approved list.

All Drivers will also be expected to hold a valid Certificate of Driver Competency. This must be confirmed by the Operator

All bidders will be required to complete Section One and Two of the Vendor Profile on the Chest Portal
