The aim of the procurement is to fulfil the contracting authority's need for the hire of site machinery and personnel for excavating municipal engineering sites, maintenance of water and sewage installations, and summer and winter maintenance on municipal roads.

The assignment consists of different tasks, from simple to more demanding. Site machines and crews can be hired for short or long periods, from a few days to months at a time. Site machines can be hired with or without drivers.

Tenderers must have available requested site machinery and personnel at the time of contract signing.

'Site machines' mean excavators, wheeled loaders, lorries, and dumper trucks.

The work shall i.a. comprise of:

- Clearing ditches

- General road maintenance work

- Excavation/pipe work in connection with work on the water and sewage network, etc.

- Welding

In addition, the work will consist of the removal of snow, and urged assignments. Urgent assignments mean assignments that must be carried out when there is a risk of water or sewage leaks on municipal infrastructure. The requirement for emergency assignments amounts to approx 20-25 assignments per annum.
