Implementation of modernization work including exterior painting on 169 double-deck middle cars made by Bombardier.

The LNVG is the owner of 220 double-decker cars and 37 locomotives from the manufacturer Bombardier, which are used on the RE routes Bremen - Hamburg, Cuxhaven - Hamburg and Hamburg - Uelzen - Hanover-Göttingen. The vehicles are designed for a service life of 30 years and will be modernized to a large extent in the middle of their service life, after approx. 15 years. When modernizing vehicles (HU XL Dosto), a distinction is made between standard and special vehicles because of the different expenses.

The HU XL of the special vehicles is carried out by the vehicle manufacturer Bombardier.

The subject of this order is the HU XL of the standard vehicles (169 intermediate cars). Essentially, modernization measures in the interior as well as repainting are to be carried out.

All materials required for the modernization work (with the exception of consumables) are provided by Bombardier.
