The subject of this call for tenders is supply and analysis of passive radiation dosimeters and assessment of radiation exposures.
The monitoring programme foresees monthly use of up to 200 passive dosimeters (ambient, personal, and finger). However, annual turnover of up to 2 500 dosimeters is envisaged under the tender specifications. In addition, supply, on a special request, of up to 50 criticality dosimeters is foreseen.
Routinely, up to 200 personal and ambient dosimeters shall be shipped, distributed, collected, returned and analysed every month. Each monthly delivery shall comprise dosimeters dedicated for radiation background determination and subtraction. The contracted dosimetry service shall provide the results to the contracting authority within three weeks following the analysis. The contract shall also cover eventual supply, on a special request, of up to 50 criticality dosimeters. An entity approved as dosimetry service shall deliver under this call for tenders.
The individual radiation dosimeters shall be appropriate for the expected typical radiation environment inside nuclear fuel cycle installations. They should monitor mixed fields of gamma, beta and neutron radiations.
The estimation of the individual personal dose equivalent values Hp(10) and Hp(0.07) as well as the ambient radiation exposure value H* shall be based on the parameters given by the Basic safety standards Directive1 as well as of the 2007 Recommendations of the ICRP specified in the Publication 103, or newer.
