The purpose of the tender process is to put in place a contract for the production, supply and servicing of National Lottery Point of Sale ‘Fixtures & Fittings’ and associated products.

In 2007 the National Lottery engaged in a rebranding project, during that project all existing Point of Sale ‘Fixtures & Fittings’ were redesigned and all existing units were replaced with the newly designed versions hence the requirement for this contract going forward is as follows:

— the production and installation of Point of Sale ‘Fixtures & Fittings’ for newly appointed and upgraded Retail Sales Agencies,

— the on-going maintenance of existing Point of Sale ‘Fixtures & Fittings’ at Retail Sales Agencies on request. Requests will be on an ad-hoc basis i.e. in the case of new appointments, agency upgrades, agency cancellations, store renovations etc,

— the removal and reconditioning or recycling of Point of Sale ‘Fixtures & Fittings’ from cancelled Retail Sales Agencies,

— the ad-hoc provision of associated products for Point of Sale ‘Fixtures & Fittings’ in response to requirements in the retail market. The identified supplier will be required to provide the complete range of services from initial design to prototype development and testing,

— the provision of a reliable, efficient and quality service for nationwide installations, removals and maintenance of National Lottery Point of Sale ‘Fixtures & Fittings’ to its Retail Agent Network,

— the provision of support services e.g. stock storage and management, stock monitoring, invoicing and job reporting systems.

Both the product and service requirements are in response to the changes and requirements in the Retail Market and over the lifetime of the contract, different versions of current products along with associated products and services may be sought from the supplier.
