ESF Funding Instrument No. 36 “Homeless Assistance in Berlin via 24/7 Facilities”

The call for tenders is intended to promote and support homeless people. In addition to the existing measures of homeless assistance, supplementary offers are to be provided in order to achieve infection protection and safety for those affected by special accommodation, advice and care. The aim is to respond to the problem that numerous places in emergency nights and daily offers have been omitted in existing accommodations due to the corona pandemic due to necessary equalisations measures. Finally, the program allows homeless people to comply with contact restrictions by providing 24/7 accommodation.

The Senate Administration for Integration, Labour and Social Affairs also acts as a consumer in this contract.

Homeless assistance in Berlin via 24/7 facilities — target group: homeless women

The aim of lot 1 is to set up and operate “24/7 facilities” to accommodate homeless women living on the streets. This is intended to sustainably improve the life situation of those affected. The creation of accommodation for permanent residence is intended to break the migration and daily changes between the different low-threshold offers for stay, food and overnight stay and promote the acceptance of further assistance.

The target group is women only; scope of measures: approx. 40 places

Lot 1 is financed 100% from REACT-EU funds.

The aim of lot 2 is to set up and operate “24/7 facilities” to accommodate homeless people living on the streets. This is intended to sustainably improve the life situation of those affected. The creation of accommodation for permanent residence is intended to break the migration and daily changes between the different low-threshold offers for stay, food and overnight stay and promote the acceptance of further assistance.

Measures: approx. 70 places

Lot 2 is financed 100% from REACT-EU funds.

The aim of lot 3 is to set up and operate “24/7 facilities” to accommodate homeless people living on the streets. This is intended to sustainably improve the life situation of those affected. The creation of accommodation for permanent residence is intended to break the migration and daily changes between the different low-threshold offers for stay, food and overnight stay and promote the acceptance of further assistance.

Measures: approx. 60 places

Lot 3 is 100% financed by REACT-EU funds.

The aim of lot 4 is to set up and operate “24/7 facilities” to accommodate homeless people living on the streets. This is intended to sustainably improve the life situation of those affected. The creation of accommodation for permanent residence is intended to break the migration and daily changes between the different low-threshold offers for stay, food and overnight stay and promote the acceptance of further assistance.

Scope of measures: approx. 50 places

Lot 4 is financed 100% from REACT-EU funds.
