The establishment of 3 multi party frameworks to support commercially focused seafood R&D.
— Defining and producing commercially relevant techno-functional ingredient opportunities and methodologies for under-utilised species and by-products at laboratory scale;
— Developing working prototypes and SOPs e.g 1kg prototype formats;
— Defining equipment and processes to allow scale-up from laboratory processes.
— Producing post-laboratory market-ready ingredient concepts and relevant SOPs at pre-commercial scale;
— Scoping commercial process requirements and associated SOPs;
— Engaging with SMEs, BIM and ingredient customers to explore market interest in products and associated commercial opportunities.
— Carrying out dietary intervention trials (e.g. pig weaner) to test performance (e.g. growth rates, feed intake, feed conversion) of various ingredient seafood diets compared to established diets.
