The design, the construction, the delivery, the test period, the commissioning, the guarantee obligations and in general all necessary work to be able to use a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 18 express tramways on the Hasselt – Maastricht express tram network, as well as their maintenance for a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 8 36 years in the context of the "Spartacus" project.

The Assignment comprises a fixed part and conditional parts:

- fixed part: the design, the construction, the delivery, the test period, the commissioning, the guarantee obligations and in general all necessary work to be able to use 8 express tramways on the Hasselt – Maastricht express tram network, as well as its maintenance for a minimum of 8 and a maximum 36 years in the context of the "Spartacus" project,

- conditional parts: the design, construction, delivery, test period, commissioning, guarantee obligations and in general all necessary work to be able to use a maximum of 10 additional express tramways on the express tram network, as well as the maintenance of these additional express tramways for a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 36 years in the context of the "Spartacus" project. These additional express trams can be the subject of various orders spread over time. More specifically, the Contracting Entity can place orders for 1 or more additional high-speed trams with the contractor for 5 years after the Contract has been closed. The sum of these orders will not exceed the maximum of 10 additional express trams.

Although the conclusion of the Assignment relates to the entire Assignment, the Contracting Entity is only bound by the fixed part.
