The Hanseatic and University City of Rostock, represented by the Civil Engineering Office, intends to use this procedure to award environmental planning services for the replacement of the Bw 121 bridge in the course of the Rennbahnallee over the DB route 6921 due to deficits in the area of load-bearing capacity and durability.
After the demolition of the existing bridge structure, the civil engineering department plans to erect a road bridge and a directly adjacent tram bridge as replacement new structures at the same location.
The road bridge is to have a tramway with one lane in each direction as well as a pedestrian and cycle path to the east and a cycle path to the west. The location of the bridge as well as the traffic facilities on the structure and in connection with the structure are to be planned in such a way that a 1-track tram bridge structure can be erected to the west next to the road bridge to be planned and, in the future, another tram track can be built at a later point in time by extending the Tram bridge is possible.
