On the basis of the demand planning prepared in 2018, an increasing development of the number of pupils in the Endersbach school district of the city of Weinstadt was forecast. This resulted in the need to further develop the location of the primary school Endersbach for the accommodation of more than 16 primary school classes as well as the necessary areas for all-day care. On the site of the current Silcherschule in Endersbach-Weinstadt, two further school buildings (component B - garden school, component C - village barn) are to be built in three construction phases. The new buildings are arranged on the school grounds in such a way that two new squares are formed next to the existing playground in the north. The open space between the existing school and the garden school functions as a green break area. The space between the existing gym and the village barn will be designed as a place for sporting activities.
The new buildings are planned as simple structures in wooden construction and are oriented in their
Orientation, building depth and roof pitch to the existing building.
In order to be able to erect the buildings, the existing buildings were demolished in advance (school pavilion and care building).
In the run-up to the demolition, a container facility was erected as a replacement building and removed again after the commissioning of the first construction phases.
