Dredging of Gjøsund Fiskerihavn (Gjøsund Fishing Harbour) and disposal of dredged material in beach disposal site, surrounding by a molo, including construction of the molo. Some blasting work may be relevant. Total quantity of dredged material, 235 000 m3. Total length of molo is 750 m.

Gjøsund Fishing Harbour is a measure that has been included in the National Transport Plan in the last part of the planning period for execution under the auspices of the Norwegian Coastal Administration. implementation of the measure has now been accelerated through an agreement between Giske Municipality and the State, where Giske Municipality will advance the measure and be responsible for the implementation

The measure consists of dredging the harbour to -8.3 metres with an option for dredging the outer part to -9.0 metres.

A beach disposal site will also be established along with the associated surrounding bar for placement of the dredged material. This disposal site will be part of the municipality's industrial area at Gjøsundet.

Gjøsund Fishing Harbour will be developed as a national fishing harbour, and the dredging is part of the process to develop the harbour for this purpose.

Giske Municipality invites qualified contractors to submit tenders for dredging of Gjøsund fishing harbour and establishment of the beach disposal site for placement of the dredged material.
