The city of Flensburg acquired the almost 500 m² Angelburger Str. property at the beginning of 2022 and is planning to modernize and repair it in accordance with urban development funding regulations. Due to the condition of the building, considerable modernization costs can be expected to be unprofitable. The possibility of funding for urban development exists, as the building complex was classified as a complex with a high need for modernization in the preparatory studies of the Western Old Town redevelopment area.

Angelburger Str. 15 follows the structural scheme of the merchant's courtyards. The order comprises the front building with a solid front building and two structurally separate frame structures adjoining the north, as well as two side wings that adjoin the three-section front structure and are staggered in height.

In the meantime, the buildings that were not stable had to be secured with static building aids.

The building as a whole has an exceptionally high level of historical preservation significance for the city of Flensburg and is a listed building. The front part of the front building probably dates from a time before 1551 and thus underlines the special architectural significance of the merchant's court. It is the second-oldest dated town house in the southern old town and the oldest half-timbered building in the district. The farm character is well preserved.
