The tender includes DRG primary coding and case release.
The tender includes:
Primary DRG case coding of 3,000 patient records of all specialties of a maximum care provider.
After the patient has been discharged, the DRG coding is carried out on the basis of the digitised patient file, which consists of treatment data that is largely available in the IT system, supplemented by individual pieces of information from a scanned existing paper file. ICD coding is largely carried out by coding specialists. The OPS coding for diagnostics, operations/interventions, etc. is the responsibility of the service providers (checks and additions by coding necessary), the OPS coding for complex codes, active substances, blood products, etc. is carried out by the coding specialists. The coded DRG cases are released for billing by the respective DRG coding specialist.
In order to process a backlog that has accumulated due to circumstances, we need support with DRG primary coding and case release. Appropriately qualified employees provide the above services via remote access to the UKA's systems. In the event of special circumstances (e.g. failure of remote access, etc.), on-site deployment is mandatory. Travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with the Bavarian Travel Expenses Act (BayRGK).
