The client intends to conclude a framework contract with a contractor for x86 server systems, licenses from the manufacturer SUSE, maintenance and support as well as system-related IT services.

To provide SAP HANA environments in its 2 data centers for its customers, the client needs IT infrastructure components based on the design parameters Tailored Datacenter Integration (TDI), scale-up and x86 architecture.
The client intends to conclude a framework contract with a contractor for x86 server systems, licenses from the manufacturer SUSE, maintenance and support as well as system-related IT services. The client intends to put additional SAP HANA systems into operation and replace old systems. This requires systems and components that are supplied by a contractor and handed over to the client as operational environments.
The client provides the Ethernet network and FC-SAN infrastructure for the SAP HANA and management infrastructure in accordance with a concept approved by the contractor. The requirements and the quantity structure are to be specified by the contractor as early as possible and made known to the client in order to ensure that the client does the appropriate preparatory work.
The conclusion of the framework contract implicitly triggers the initial call, which must be handed over ready for operation by the contractor. The initial retrieval includes the following systems and services:
- 3 scale-up TDI x86 architecture-based server systems certified for productive operation by SAP SoH, each of which meet the following minimum requirements: 6 TB RAM installed, several network connections with at least 10 Gbit / s for the LAN or at least 16 Gbit / s for the SAN,
- Identical processors across all systems, whereby the processor configurations must be certifiable for SoH systems,
- Provision of a hardware management and monitoring system for the provided SAP HANA operating environments as well as access options to the server systems from an existing central monitoring system.
In addition, the contractor has services for conception, rack installation, commissioning, installation of VMware vSphere and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server including SUSE Linux HA Extension, implementation of the "Hardware & Cloud Measurement Tools", instructions, documentation as well as service and Provide support.
To ensure high-quality framework contract management, the contractor must provide a service manager who acts as the client's direct contact.
As a result, further calls with different scope are planned, which are described in the tender documents. The client attaches importance to functional, high-performance, high-availability and operational system environments for operation with SAP HANA, which are provided by the contractor in a timely manner.
As a result of this tender, a framework contract for calls based on VOL / B and EVB-IT system delivery contract for the procurement of the named products and services is to be concluded between the client, Mobil ISC GmbH, and a contractor.
