The state of Lower Saxony intends to renovate the Sieberwägel on
Herzberg Castle. Due to the use of the building as a district court, the renovation measure must be carried out in two consecutive construction measures. The user, the district court of Herzberg, will release the components for this purpose. The exact size and dimensions can be found in the enclosed property card in the task description.
This is a restructuring measure that is funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media. The measures are in agreement with the client, the State Office for the Preservation of Monuments, the funding guidelines and all
is to be carried out by the experts involved. A building permit/building authority approval is not required.
The building is currently used as an archive and office. The use of archives is moved from the attic to another building, hardly changing the use of the office. The existing usage should not be significantly changed.
As far as possible, the building is to be made barrier-free by integrating an elevator into the building.
