Description:
Acquisition, delivery, installation and commissioning of a 1.5 μm frequency comb and its extension

This purchase is made as part of the development of the H2 + molecular ion spectroscopy experiment installed at the Kastler Brossel Laboratory. The purpose of this contract is the acquisition, delivery, installation and commissioning of a frequency comb at 1.5 μm and its extension to 1.7 1.9 μm with control of the repetition frequency and, if necessary, control of the offset frequency. The desired equipment must meet the technical and functional specifications described in CCP nº 2020_Frequency comb for measurements MIR_CNRS LKB.

This purchase is made as part of the development of the H2 + molecular ion spectroscopy experiment installed at the Kastler Brossel Laboratory.

The purpose of this contract is to supply an infrared frequency comb covering the range 1.5 - 1.9 μm controllable in repetition rate and offset frequency which will allow the measurement or synthesis of optical frequencies in the range 9 -14 μm.

Given the specificities of the H2 + spectroscopy experiment and in particular the use of a CO2 laser and QCL lasers, the technique used will consist in carrying out the sum of frequency between the CO2 laser at 9.128, 9.166 or 13.60 μm and a frequency comb widened to 1.7 ... 1.9 μm to obtain a secondary comb at 1.5 μm whose beating with the initial comb will be detected.

NB: the part consisting in the sum of frequency is not part of the market.

This contract includes the acquisition, delivery, installation and commissioning of a 1.5 μm frequency comb and its extension to 1.7 1.9 μm with control of the repetition frequency and, where applicable if necessary, control of the offset frequency. The 1.5 μm comb must ultimately be able to be stabilized on the optical reference at 1542 nm from the Refimeve + network.

Particular attention will be paid to the specifications of the actuators for controlling the repetition frequency of the comb since the frequency of the synthesized infrared source is directly proportional to the repetition frequency. The requirements for stabilization of the offset frequency are lower since coarse stabilization is sufficient. Particular attention will be paid to the spectrum of the comb at 1.7 ... 1.9 μm with priority given to the power available at 1.9 μm.

The technical and functional specifications of the frequency comb and the extension of the frequency comb to the range 1.7..1.9 μm are described in CCP nº 2020_Frequency comb for measurements MIR_CNRS LKB.

Variants are allowed on the following points:

- laser repetition frequency if it is between 70 and 300 MHz;

- if necessary, installation or not of the f / 2f module and associated electronics.

Optional “optional additional services” (PSE) are requested.
