The Directorate of Fisheries would like to hire a factory/freezer trawler with a cod trawl permit for north of N62°. The vessel must be rigged with a double trawl (two identical trawls) for fishing for cod and haddock. The vessel must be suitable for fishing research and it must have sufficient work space on the trawl deck for work with tools, and on the factory deck for measuring and weighing fish as well as preparing catch samples. The research has elements of two projects, one is selection in large net trawl, and the other touches on the project with reduced bottom contact.
