The objective of this FWC is to provide the contracting authority and the European Commission (mainly DG Maritime Affairs and Fisheries) with a flexible tool to request specific and timely scientific services and advice on issues related to the conservation of marine ecosystems and marine biological resources, as well as management of fisheries and other human activities, with possible impact on fisheries and harvested marine biological resources, carried out, fully or partly, beyond EU waters and of interest to the EU.
