The background for the assignment is the need to map the danger of penetration of foreign water in Oslo municipality's elevated basins for drinking water. The elevated basins are partly concrete basins and partly raw blasted rock halls. The assignment consists of reporting the constructional and engineering geological condition and the need for measures in the agency's elevated basins with a view to the surrounding area's effect on the water quality.
