Integrated Carbon Observation System ERIC invites tenders for 1 pcs of high precision gas analyser. The analyser must be capable of simultaneous measurements of atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), carbon monoxide (CO), and water vapour (H2O).
The instrument will be used to measure continuously and simultaneously the concentration of CO2, CH4, CO and H2O. All 4 gases must be measured in less than 10 sec (measurement interval).
2.1 Mandatory Technical Requirements
The analyser shall fulfil the following guaranteed, tested, certified and quoted specifications (as required by ICOS RI). The tender will be rejected as non-compliant if these criteria are not met by the analyser:
a) Guaranteed specification range: 300 - 500 ppm for CO2, 1-3 ppm for CH4, 0-1 ppm for CO, 0-3 % volume for H2O;
b) Precision (Std. dev. 1-σ: 1’/60’ average raw data): <50 ppb / 25 ppb for CO2, <1 ppb / 0.5 ppb for CH4, <15ppb / 1.5 ppb for CO, <50 ppm / 10 ppm for H2O;
c) Repeatability (Std. dev. 1- σ: 10’ average raw data): <50 ppb for CO2, <0.5 ppb for CH4, <1 ppb for CO;
d) The instrument shall be able to automatically provide the concentration of CO2/CH4/CO as dry gas molar fraction.
2.2 Additional Technical Criteria:
a) The analyser must have temperature stability specification at +/- 0.01 °C and pressure stability specification at +/- 0.0005 atm of atmospheric pressure to limit the temperature and pressure sensitivity;
b) The analyser measurement cell must have a small volume (<50 ml) and an appropriate design to limit the memory effects and allow optimal operation with a sample flow rate (< 0.3 SLPM) and thus limit the quality control and standard gas consumption;
c) The analyser must have a small footprint to fit in 19” standard rack and with a weight below 30 kg to be suitable for usage on a small mobile platform (i.e. passenger vehicles) and facilitate the analyser handling and installation;
d) The analyser must have been drop tested and vibration tested during manufacturing to prove ruggedness for field deployment;
e) The digital data should be provided in a single, human and SQL readable file using a standardized data format. It shall be digital via serial interface of standard type as well as via Ethernet cable. Data shall also be stored locally on the instrument;
f) The analyser shall be powered by 230 VAC with a total (including the pump) power consumption below 300 W.
