Moss ferry dock is part of the ferry route Moss-Horten and has two ferry quays that shall be upgraded. The Contracting Authority consists primarily of replacing the existing ferry bridges with two new 12 x 18 standard ferry bridges, and to replace the existing bumpers along Vælebrygga with new. There is also an option in the competition on a new duc d'albe [dolphin].
In the Moss-Horten ferry route, there are seasonal variations in the amount of traffic. In the period that the upgrading occurs, there will only be on quay operative at a time and cooperating gains reduced capacity and higher risk of operational disruptions. The upgrading of the ferry landings shall therefore occur in the periods with the least traffic quantity. Quay 1 shall be upgraded in the period 16.10.2017 — 9.3.2018 and quay 2 in the period 15.10.2018 — 1.3.2019.
