The assignment 100311 Torvegade, bicycle accessibility, includes total consultancy on the Torvegade project.
The assignment deals with project proposals and tender projects of the entire Torvegade. The assignment is based on a previously prepared preliminary analysis and outline proposal. In the preliminary analysis, solution 1B "Better conditions for light road users with maintenance of bus lanes at Christianshavn Torv" has been adopted. This solution is called solution 1 "Better conditions for light road users, Torvegade as a high street" and is the one that has now been politically adopted and which this tender concerns.

On Torvegade as a whole, the cycle paths are extended to 3.5 metres on each side, and pavements on the stretch are extended up to 4.8 metres. At the Strandgade intersection, a southbound bus stop will be moved to a location just before the intersection with a new bus platform, so that buses do not block cars when embarking and embarking. The bus lanes will be closed on Torvegade between Strandgade and Christianshavns Torv and between Prinsessegade and Christianshavns Voldgade.
At Christianshavn Torv, existing bus lanes will be retained, so cars here have the opportunity to pass buses that stop at the platform. Existing bus platforms will be extended to 2.0 metres, while the pavement towards Christianshavn Torv will be narrowed by 0.5 metres. The pavement opposite Christianshavn Torv is widened to 3.75 metres, as there are often many people here.
On the stretch between Christianshavns Voldgade and Christmas Møllers Plads, the cycle paths are expanded. The bus lane will be maintained in the inward direction and one lane will be closed in each direction. In addition, a green central discount will be established, where it will be possible to plant trees. No trees will be felled as part of the project.
The entire Torvegade project will also be restored to current standards.
In the project, the consultant will prepare a VISSIM traffic model over Torvegade, which includes the intersection at Christmas Møllers Plads. The model will be used to optimise the signals and assess the traffic flow on the line.
