The framework will be set up for the supply of metered electricity to Public Sector Buildings throughout Northern Ireland. The contract will be open to all bodies covered under the Northern Ireland Public Procurement Policy (NIPPP) http://www.dfpni.gov.uk/articles/list-public-bodies-which-ni-public-procurement-policy-applies. The Framework will be for a period of 4 years commencing on 1.4.2016. The Single Electricity Market (SEM) is scheduled to be replaced by the Integrated Single Electricity Market (ISEM) in October 2017, the initial Call Off Contracts will run from 1.4.2016 to 30.9.2017. If the ISEM is delayed the Authority and Clients may extend those contracts until the commencement of the ISEM or elect to reopen competition for Call Off Contracts which have supplies delivered under both SEM and ISEM. Subsequent Call Off Contracts for each Lot will be awarded by reopening competition between the Framework.
