With the Recovery Operation Childcare Allowance, the government offers support to parents and families who have been affected by the childcare allowances between 2006 and 2020. Some of these parents (approx. 1,000) no longer live in the Netherlands. Sometimes literally fled from problems that have arisen through no fault of their own. Since the end of June 2022, affected parents abroad can receive support in recovering from a special team (the OTB, support team for parents abroad). The purpose of the assignment is to move these affected parents who live abroad and have a wish to return to the Netherlands from the current country of residence back to the Netherlands.
