The Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning is implementing the outdoor facilities for the Walther-Meißner building for the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) as part of the construction measures for the urban master plan in Berlin - Charlottenburg.

The subject of this tender is the gardening and landscaping work for the production of the outdoor facilities with paths and planting areas in the courtyard area of the Walter-Meißner building, as well as for the construction of the new enclosure around Fraunhofer Strasse with a new wall / aun system. The work on the outdoor facilities immediately follows comprehensive measures of building construction that have already been carried out or partly run parallel to the construction of the new Walther-Meißner building, including the associated supply and disposal infrastructure.

The construction measure for the gardening / landscaping trade partially includes the demolition / dismantling of existing pathways and their subsequent reconstruction partly using existing materials.

The tender includes:

- Demolition / dismantling of paved areas: approx. 1 300 m 2nd ;

- Dismantling of vegetation areas: approx. 1,200 m 2nd ;

- Soil / waste disposal: approx. 1 500 t.

- New construction of path areas:

—— Natural stone (mosaic paving, slabs): approx. 350 m 2nd ;

—— Concrete stone (paving, slabs): approx. 1 300 m 2nd .

- Fencing walls / fences: approx. 60 m;

- Packed trench: approx. 50 m 2nd ;

- box gutters: approx. 40 m;

- rainwater pipes: approx. 160 m;

- Custom-made concrete bench seats: approx. 35 m;

- New plantings: 8 pieces;

- Planting area (hedges, shrubs, perennials, ground cover): approx. 850 m 2nd ;

- Lawns: approx. 400 m 2nd .

Automatic irrigation system.

The tender also includes planning services (e.g. formwork / reinforcement planning for in-situ concrete components, work planning for the fence system).

Some services are to be performed by electrical specialists.

Parts of the services (restoration of pavement) are to be provided on public roadland. These are to be carried out by a road construction company approved in Berlin, which is certified to perform services on public road land.

Start of execution: June 2020

Completion: March 2021

Construction: 11 months

Initial and development maintenance of the plantations: June 30, 2023
