County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust and Tees, Esk & Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust have a requirement for a Cash in Transit Service which covers the delivery of cash and the collection of cash and cheques to/from various sites.

The contractor will then be required to deliver the Trust's monies to the contractor's cash processing centre.

The Trust's require a service which shall employ only specially constructed armoured cash in transit vehicles with a minimum of two operatives.

A highly reliable, efficient and cost-effective service is required which meets the needs of the numerous sites which range from Acute and Mental Health Hospitals to Community Clinics. These sites are located throughout County Durham, Teeside and North Yorkshire.

This opportunity is advertised in 2 Lots:

Lot 1 - Cash in Transit Service for County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust.

Lot 2 - Cash in Transit Service for Tees, Esk & Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust.

Companies with relevant experience and expertise are invited to tender for Lot 1, Lot 2 or both Lots.

The contract award is for 3 years (36 months) with the option to extend for a further 2 x 12 months.
