Design and built contract for the upgrade of the existing Poolbeg Tank farm to meet current regulations for the long term strategic storage of Distillate products.
The site is ship fed from a jetty.
Woks includes but is not limited to Repair of existing Tankage, Installation of new pipe work and associated equipment, Installation of new loading gantry, drainage and control room.
The site is located
to the east of the
ESB Poolbeg Power
Generation Plant,
Dublin and will be
managed by NORA. To
meet these
responsibilities
NORA has signed a 20
year lease with ESB
for the use of the
Tank Farm facility.
The Tank Farm is
only partially in
use to provide an
emergency supply of
Diesel fuel for the
adjacent ESB Power
station which is
supplied from 2 No.
Tanks (D1 and D2).
ESB have agreed to
empty one Tank D2
which will be
isolated cleaned and
inspected prior to
this works taking
place. On
completion of the
works detailed in
this specification
ESB will transfer
the product from
Tank D1 to Tank D2
to allow the
cleaning, inspection
and repair /
refurbishment of
Tank D1.
The site is ship fed
from a dedicated
marine Jetty located
to the North of the
site and is accessed
via the ESB site.
To achieve a fully
functioning storage
facility for
distillate products
it will be necessary
to complete an
upgrade of the Tank
Farm facilities to
meet with current
industry practices.
