Vefsn Municipality will construct a new sports centre for teaching, sports, and voluntary activities. The current sports part at Kippermoen is versatile and frequently used, but parts of the buildings are old and challenging for current use. The building will be realised in a collaboration between Vefsn Municipality, Nordland County, local sport, lottery funds, and local contributors. Vefsn Municipality will be the builder. 

The purpose is to cover statutory requirements for teaching for primary and secondary schools and sixth form colleges, as well as ensuring standards for lottery funds for the various elements in the centre. The estimated area is approx. 18,000 m2. 

The project will be carried out in accordance with the partnering model.

The project execution is split into two phases:

- Planning and engineering design (phase 1) 

- Execution (phase 2)

The project and necessary engineering design will be defined in phase 1 before the start of construction. Descriptions are to be formulated, costs estimated, a progress plan formulated, and risk analyses carried out. A target price for the execution of the project is to be formulated on the basis of this. Phase 2 is an option for the builder, comprising detailed engineering design and construction of the building. The scope of the project is given in points 2.1 and 2.2 of this document.

The contract is awarded to Consto Nord AS.
