The Baden-Württemberg State IT Authority (BITBW) was founded in 2015 as the successor organisation of the IT Centre for the State Administration of Baden-Württemberg (IZLBW) under the Establishment Act BITBW (BITBWG). It is the central service provider for information technology (IT) in the state administration of Baden-Württemberg and currently employs around one thousand people. The state authority BITBW manages a broad product portfolio, most of which is reflected in its service catalogue. This portfolio includes the secure operation, maintenance and further development of the state's IT. BITBW's internal customers are in particular the ministries and their subordinate departments.

The purpose of this call for applications is to fill the position of an external data protection officer for the BITBW authority.

As a consequence of the general right of personality, personal data is a valuable asset that is adequately protected by companies and authorities

(IT) in the state administration of Baden-Württemberg has a special responsibility in the context of data protection and data security. To this end, BITBW intends to further develop and expand its data protection management.

The volume of contracts envisaged for this framework agreement has been described as precisely as possible. However, the requirements are not binding and cannot be conclusively determined.

This only reflects an estimated order quantity and an expected period of time for the provision of services. Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that the benefits will be called up in a different order of magnitude and/or for a different period of time.

The following order quantities are assumed per contract year:

Order quantity per lot and contract year: 200 PT

These are conservatively estimated values. The specified person-days serve as the basis for calculation. A minimum purchase is not agreed. There is no obligation to purchase the estimated call-off quantities. As a result, the call-off quantity may decrease.

The contract term begins with the award of the contract and, unless terminated beforehand, initially amounts to 24 months (minimum contract term). The Contractor reserves the right to extend the contract three times for one year each (optional contract periods). The minimum contract term is automatically extended by a further year, unless the client terminates the contract three months before the end of the contract period. The same applies to the optional renewal periods.

If the order value is increased as a result of an order change during the contract period in accordance with Section 132 GWB, the contract ends when this new order value is reached.

The end of the contract shall not affect the contractor's obligation to provide the contractually compliant services of the orders placed during the contract period.
