Description:
Purchase and delivery of an MR-Linac system including the execution of maintenance

The Contracting Authority wants to be able to offer the best possible radiotherapeutic care, using the most appropriate technology. Reducing the damage to the healthy tissues outside the tumor plays an important role in this. The Contracting Authority is currently using proton therapy for this purpose, among other things, according to a model-based approach. In the case of irradiation with photons, image-controlled radiotherapy with related reduction of the radiation margins and the possibility of far-reaching hypofractionation offers new possibilities. An advantage is expected from online MRI-controlled radiotherapy for various indications with moving target areas in thorax, abdomen and pelvis.

The Order consists of the delivery and installation of an MR-Linac and the maintenance of the System for 12 years with the possibility to extend the maintenance by two times one year. A Treatment Planning System that enables online MRI-guided radiotherapy is part of the System. Also included are:

• Application training for doctors, physicists, laboratory technicians and possibly training for technicians

• Delivery and installation of the Faraday cage

• Additional items that are mounted in the Faraday cage, such as lasers, cameras and an optional bed galvan / bedlifter / parrot

• MR compatible measuring equipment for quality control, including image quality, machine QA, and patient-specific QA

• Safety gates for metal detection

In addition to the aforementioned parts, the Client also wishes to investigate various Options. To this end, the Client has included a request in its Programme of Demands and in the Prize Sheet in order to gain insight into the costs associated with this. On the basis of the Registration, the Client may decide to purchase the Option but is never obliged to do so.

The Client intends to conclude an Agreement for purchase and delivery, a Coordination Agreement for cooperation in the preparation of the renovation of the space and the relocation, a Standard Service Agreement (SSO) for maintenance and a Processor Agreement.

The Standard Service Agreement has a term of 12 years. The effective date of the Standard Service Agreement is at the time of acceptance of the MR-Linac and ends by operation of law 12 years after the date of acceptance of the MR-Linac, subject to renewals.

During the term of the Standard Service Agreement, a Processor Agreement with the Contractor must apply, because the Contractor has access to patient data when implementing the Standard Service Agreement.

A waiting room agreement is concluded with the Tenderer who has finished in the ranking as the next after the winning Tenderer. The next after the winning Bidder takes a seat in the so-called 'waiting room'.
