The Authority is responsible for the General Practice Extraction Service (GPES). GPES is a centrally managed primary care data extraction service. The contract awarded pursuant to this Notice is for the provision of a query tool to extract data from GP practice systems and related services (GPET-Q: GP Extraction Tool Query Management). This is a key part of the GPES project. The data extractions will be conducted by the GP practice system suppliers under separate contractual arrangements.

The initial prime users of GPET-Q will be the Authority and General Practice users. In the longer term, additional users may include the bodies referred to in section V1.3 of the Contract Notice.
