1. Which nature-inclusive measures exist for arable farming, and what is the relationship between them that lead to a nature-inclusive arable farming system (interpretation of pillars conceptual framework nature-inclusive agriculture).
2. Which measures suit which soil type and landscape ('selection menu').
3. Which species benefit from these measures (focusing on birds, butterflies and wild bees).
We develop a system and toolbox into a practical
area-specific interpretation of nature-inclusive agriculture with maximum effect on (local) biodiversity. By making the existing knowledge available in this way, policymakers and managers can more easily steer towards a transition to nature-inclusive agriculture around (nitrogen-sensitive) nature reserves, with attention to specific target species. This removes an important barrier to engaging with farmers and other land users about the practical implementation of nature-inclusive agriculture.
