Services will be tendered for a cooperation project in the area of “German-Zambian Agricultural Training and Knowledge Centre” between the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) and the Zambian Ministry of Agriculture (MoA).
As an agricultural competence centre for climate-resilient production processes, the AKTC is intended to make a lasting contribution to the further development and modernisation of agriculture in Zambia and the region.

The contract includes, in particular, the consulting services of 4 long-term specialists as well as short-term specialists. In the existing AKTC centre, the capacities of the peasant target groups and multipliers will be further developed through training, crop demonstrations and consultations. New demonstration areas are also to be developed and managed. The mission comprises the management of the AKTC and its further development into a regional competence centre together with the Zambian partners and with the support of a group of international businessmen/business partners. An economically self-supporting successor solution for the AKTC, which has been in operation since 2014, is to be designed and implemented by the end of the order period.
