The subject of the contract is the nature conservation planning as well as the preparation and coordination of landscape conservation measures, mainly in nature reserves and Natura 2000 areas in the district of Emmendingen, sub-areas Upper Rhine Plain and Kaiserstuhl / Vorbergzone as support for Ref. 56, Nature Conservation and Landscape Conservation, RP Freiburg.

These are mainly landscape conservation measures in the open country and in the area of water.

Nature/landscape protection areas Elzwiesen, Rhine lowlands Wyhl-Weisweil and planned NSG Nimburger Ried

- Needs assessment of landscape conservation measures on the basis of protective provisions, maintenance concepts and (Natura 2000) management plans, as well as known species occurrences (fauna and flora)

- Integration and consideration of care goals for habitat types and species and, if necessary, other goals and interests on the same area to an overall concept

- Planning and preparation of landscape maintenance measures to achieve the target state: formulation of the objectives and measures, map representations for maintenance contracts of the RP (direct measures), coordination of the measures with owners, representatives of authorities and associations / institutions, determination of care costs, selection of suitable contractors and support in the procurement procedure as well as preparation of the contract documents according to formal specifications for processing in the systems of the State administration

- Management of the measures to be implemented, control and acceptance of the measures carried out in the field, verification of invoices)

- monitoring of measures,

- NSG Elzwiesen: Review of the target achievement of LPR-A contracts, compliance with mowing dates and requirements for residual strips. Communication with LPR contractors; Support in meadow breeder management, esp. Large curlew (coordination of mowing dates with the farmers)

- Planned NSG Nimburger Ried: Residual strip management in the meadows taking into account the bird species occurring there

- Active participation in events/dates with different actors, other

public relation

- Advice to Ref. 56, e.g. on intervention projects in NSG

- Support in the context of public relations work (preparation of press articles, information boards and visitor guidance measures)

- Documentation, annual activity report, GIS presentation, photo documentation
